Buffalo, NY teachers get free plastic surgery

Need a little Lipo?
Bigger Boobies?
Want to get rid of those fine lines around the eyes?

Are you a teacher? You may want to pick up and move to Buffalo, NY.

Who foots the bill? Well, DUH! The taxpayers...

The article said "The plastic surgeon has a lot of happy patients."
Ya think?

The plastic surgeon also stated "I feel the teachers have paid their dues and it would be wrong to take it away from them."

:giggle:

And here I am thinking a % on insurance would have been GRAND when I worked in the insurance industry.

Just think of all that tax money that could have been spent on ....
Oh, I don't know....

EDUCATION!

Thoughts?

Leave them below:

Moms don't let kids get pinched.....

Nope, not gonna happen on my watch!

*2 winners

All you have to do is comment on THE GIVEAWAY STATUS UPDATE (of course, you need to be a fan of the page too but surely you are by now.....RIGHT?? lol)

GO on....

****

Just want to MAKE your own St. Patrick's Day bow?

You will need:

1.5" green/white shamrock print ribbon
7/8" green/white shamrock print ribbon
3/8" green shamrock print ribbon
1.5" white ribbon
7/8" emerald green ribbon
7/8" emerald green/white ribbon

The bow is layered like so...

bottom: classic boutique style bow using the 1.5" shamrock print ribbon

pinwheels: the first layer is just 2 pieces of the 1.5" WHITE ribbon
the pinwheel on top of the white? 2 pieces of 7/8 inch green/white striped and a piece of 7/8 inch shamrock in between

surround a bow using the 3/8 inch shamrock print ribbon

on top? a twister topper using the 7/8 inch emerald green ribbon

I also added a cute little "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" button. This is simply one of those pin back style buttons. I clipped the pin off and added it via hot glue.

They are sucking the FUN out of IT.

A few weeks ago, *ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT* my husband could just look at me and say "Are you PINNING again?"

I was a pinning addict.
I am still somewhat a pinning addict just not as bad.
meaning- I probably won't need to attend those pinning addicts anonymous meetings any longer.

You see...
The fun is being sucked out of it.

Pinterest used to be pretty pictures of crafty STUFF and yummy recipes.

It used to be silly quotes and helpful tips.

You know, stuff you would probably never even attempt to try but it was still nice to "PIN" them. Ya know?

Pinterest used to be all of that.

and fancy shoes...
Pinterest has tons of fancy shoes!

Now?

Brands have invaded. There are boxes of zebra cakes being "pinned". WHY?
uhh....

Yeah

What are they hoping to accomplish?
"Oh look, there's a box of zebra cakes. I forgot to pick those up at the store."
Must.Go.Back.Now.

Ok, maybe they are on to something because now I want zebra cakes.
DARN YOU ZEBRA CAKE BOX! (that I did NOT repin)

That's not my point though.
Yes, brands are clever for jumping on the pinterest bandwagon but
BLAHHH...

I would rather go back to the days where there were only pretty pictures of "stuff".

I want to go back to the days where it was fun.

Now I can not even visit a blog without ANOTHER "How to use Pinterest" post.

or

"WHAT NOT TO PIN on Pinterest" post

or

"Shame on YOU" post (because you didn't properly link to something on pinterest)

Let's not forget the "To enter my giveaway, PIN this post" articles...

THEY ARE!

Tommy Jordan, YOU ROCK.

Yeah, I know. This is OLD NEWS but I never discussed it (here). Actually, I haven't been discussing many things here lately. You see, I've been living life instead of blogging it.

(I like that answer better than THE : "I've got eleventy billion things going on at once and just about as many kiddos running around this house calling for someone named "MOMMA".)

**I sure wish this "MOMMA" would show up already. GEESH!

Anyway, Tommy Jordan . . .

I am sure you have heard of him by now, right?

Yeah, that Tommy Jordan.

Well, now it's been said that the police showed up at his house.

Yep, people from all over the internet (gotta love this little gem) called and reported him to the police department and Child Protective Services.

Uhh...

Yeah

They did.

I ,for one, think Mr. Tommy Jordan deserves a big ole ribbon...
maybe even a trophy
YEAH, a big trophy that reads :

I rock.
(that's all it has to say)

What are your thoughts?

Did he go too far?
Did he not put enough bullets in the laptop?

Let me know.

For the record, I probably wouldn't have shot the laptop. Nah

I would have blown it up with DY-NO-MITE!

North Carolina food inspector sends girl's lunch home says it's "NOT HEALTHY"

Hmmm...

As I was scrolling through facebook this morning, this caught my eye:

N.C. Food ‘Inspector’ Sends Girl‘s Lunch Home After Determining It’s Not Healthy Enough

If you don't feel like clicking the link I will summarize for you.

Mom packs kid lunch.

Kid sits down to eat the lunch that MOM (the authority figure in kid's life) packed.

"FOOD INSPECTOR" (huh? People actually get paid for inspecting food at a kindergarten now? Oh, how times have changed.) checks the lunch and determines that the turkey and cheese sandwich, chips, banana and apple juice are BAD BAD BAD (meaning that it does not meet the U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines.)

"Food Inspector" gives the child CHICKEN NUGGETS instead and then sends a bill for the cafeteria food to MOM. (you know, the one who packed the BAD BAD BAD lunch in the first place)

Chicken nuggets?

:Sigh:

I've got issues with the whole ordeal but CHICKEN NUGGETS??

I keep waiting for someone to show up on our doorstep and snatch all the cookies from my cabinet.

It's coming...

Almost too late....Homemade Conversation Hearts
